Tips for Writing Fiction
Top Teacher tips from Jo Facer (London)
1. Stay true to your personal, authentic voice: draw on your experiences and your thoughts rather than trying to mimic other people’s. Yours is the voice we want to hear.
2. Include telling details: little details which give us a clue about something or someone.
3. Leave something back – leave a space to let the reader guess.
4. If you think you’re stuck, just write something – anything! You can come back and edit it later, and you will find lots that is good.
